Description
Carmen_Takoshi
alter ego: alternate consciousness created by the mind; ulterior personality, used to escape momentarily from the harsh realities of the world and into a place where the past holds no meaning, the present is controlled and the future is distant and insignificant - a fantasy world, where the wrongs and rights are wanted of the one of its creation; escape, sweet escape and liberation from the cruelty and pain, the cold indifference of a realm too real to actually be ours.

Hope you enjoyed my poetic definition of an alter ego. ^^ I wrote it one day during class, and I found it so uber cool that I just had to put it here. *sighs* Condensed story of my life...

Anyway...there's me on the left (yes, my name is Kristine) and my alter ego, Carmen, on the right. Why Carmen? Don't ask. Just a random name that popped into my head as I was doddling one day, and it just sort of became this character, my oh-so-lovable alter ego.

Don't you love the colorfullness? ^o^ Photoshop Elements is too awesome.

I showed this to one of my friends today, and he said that Carmen was hotter than me. O.O Needless to say, I didn't have to know.

Oh well...comments? *bows*

YoikawaGlad that my secret is safe with you. *shakes your hand and salutes* But, really. I hate laying on my stomach on a cold table, with no shirt on! It's nothing like the spa you see on television. >___> You live in Quebec?! I live in the boondocks of Manitoba! *winces, remembering the time I got lost in the woods in my backyard* Stupid Mel. Said he knew how to navigate.. And Tanner, who whined about the poison ivy that got wedged in his boot the entire time! *fume, fume*

YYYaaayyy~! Carmen!! XD *twirls you yet again* (Getting dizzy..)
Your Intermediate band got a gold!! That's usually the heaviest and biggest of the three metal rewards! Rightfully deserved, I just know it! I'd never be able to play a song in front of judges, let alone three.. I'd probably smile, stare, then pass out - backwards. (Hey, it happened once before at a spelling bee!)

lol Congratulations at the Musicfest! I wish I had been there to hear and see the school/ intermediate bands. Especially yours. lol Gahh, Musicfest~! XD

Carmen_Takoshi^^ Thank you, friend! I appreciate comments like that so very much. When I first starting puting drawings and writing up, I was scared that I would go unnoticed or something. But at least I made a few friends! *smiles* I'm so happy!

And don't worry, not a soul shall know about the hated massage therapy. *sworn to secrecy*

And now, there is something that I must inform the world: WE WON THE GOLD MEDAL IN THE MUSICFEST QUEBEC 2005! Woot, I say, WOOT! WOOT TO THE WORLD! XD

Just for those people who don't know, Musifest Quebec (and probably every other province too) is a sort of competition, no, evaluation, taking place once a year in March. School bands, ranging from novice to advanced to REALLY adavanced, go there to perform three songs in front of qualified judges, and are awarded according to that performance: bronze, being the lowest, and GOLD, BEING THE HIGHEST!

XD Okay, now that I've talked about the Musicfest again, I feel like hugging everyone! *hugs Yoikawa, since he's probably the only one who will read this anyway* I'm just so proud! It's the first Gold medal that the Intermediate band (mine) has gotten, and I was there! :D *bounces around in a state of incontrolable joy*

Whew, thanks for listening, now I have to go and calm down. *skips away, transverse flute in hand*

YoikawaUpdate.. *trudges in and sits heavily in armchair* My trip to Saskatoon got cancelled! ^^ I'm happy because I secretly hate message therapy! *swings head around* If my parents ask.. I never said that. o.o And your welcome! Your writing skills - how should I put it?- stray beyond limits and bounds. That make sense? *scratches own head*

Carmen_TakoshiAw, I'm glad you like the eyes idea. *still wondering where the "Yowza!" came from* ^^'

It's true that we humans have a knack for preventing ourselves from doing our utmost. T.T *ponders* That 5th dimensional plane is something to think about, eh? *thinks* That could be an interesting writing subject...hmm...by the way, thanks for supporting my deep writing so much. ^^ *bows* I feel so honored to have my teenage-author work appreciated. ^^v Have fun in Saskatoon, ya hear? That's like... *counts* two privinces away from me! What's up with that?

YoikawaFor all we know our thoughts and emotions may already be existing in another 5th dimensional plane, but our confinements of flesh may be blocking us from its limitless boundaries!... *confusing self*

By the way, I love your idea! *yeah, I said that once already, but it's true!* ^^ Black and grey, and colours in the reflective eyes.. It even SOUNDS beautiful!

Carmen_TakoshiYeah, the colors change as you go lower on the pic, so it must change shades of gray for you! lol You know, *thinks* to show that your alter ego can see colors, you can do your eyes gray or black, and have his in color, or better yet, several colors! :D Yowza! lol

Yes, it would be nice to have wings, and to soar freely among the clouds of our thoughts. *sighs and stretches out arms wistfully* What kind of kid has never dreamed about flying? *sighs again and shakes head* What a world we live in...

Carmen_TakoshiWeeeeeeeee, splat! LOL You made me laugh so hard, Katie! :) I'm sorry that you're still feeling sad, though. Please get better! *hugs you and eats the bacon* Yesh, bacon IS good! :D *munch* Thankies!

YoikawaThe colour reminds me of a tie I have! *but never wear.. My sister bought it for me and I don't trust her* It goes from a dark shade at the top and lightens as it gets lower.

I love the idea of this pic! ^o^ I'd make something like this, but the two would look pretty much the same. Except my alter ego would be able to see colour, and that isn't something you can easily display externally. :P

Oh, yeah. And his canines wouldn't be as long as mine, and he would have wings. Wings!! Although he won't need wings to fly, because he can travel at the speed of light and make his eyes glow whenever he wants to, and breath space air and underwater, and freely explore the various dimensions in our universe, and control things with his mind and- *falls to knees and gasps for breath* Got a little carried away there, didn't I? =_= *blink blink* Yesh, your poetic definition of an alter ego is uber cool! o^^o ........ He would have wings. Wings!!

Hanyou_girlWeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee splat. Sorry I have been saying that all day. ^-^ GREAT PICCY!!!! Let's see, do I have an alter ego?? Ah yes, Yami Kousei. Which means Dark Star translate from japanese to english. Yami is a depressed, sad person... what I am usually in these days. In public, she is locked away in my mind, but when I am alone she takes over. -sigh- Ok enough about that, again NICE WORK!!!!! -gives you some bacon and runs off- (bacon gooooooood)

Carmen_TakoshiForsaken; ignored in the tumult of the world; ostracized from the cruel realm of men and forbidden to ever re-enter; deprived of the life-giving glow of the company of other souls; I am forsaken...
