Description
I've never tried drawing a flying wolf before, so for this I chose Blackwolf's character. Her 'Little Big Horn' contest is almost over, and few things spark my artistic energy quite like last-minute hurry before a deadline can.
All details based secondhand from Blackwolf's own pics of her character -- that is to say, since my sketchbook and computer rarely reside in the same room at the same time, I scribbled out on paper a few 30-second sketches of her reference pics, then based my drawing here on those. That may explain some of the differences....
Medium: Colored, ebony, and 0.7mm pencil
Time: About four hours (spanning just two days)
Scale (at full view): 75px/in
PS: Before anyone asks, the crescent moon in the evening sky is NOT a mistake; it is accurate to real lunar phases.

textures are awesome and i think its great that you know about accurate lunar phases enough to add it to your pic. the wolf looks wonderful, flying wolves i hard to draw, i know i've tried. once again, i'm sure your tired of reading this but great pic.Fairygurl27 on August 24, 2005, 5:29:17 PM

aww thank you muchly for entering ^_^ I do like how you noticed the moon out in the evening, which adds a good touch of color while giving Kamaria her 'horns' back. =) I like how you did the fur, and also the wings, and the flying birds in the background was a nice touch to Kamaria herself *nods* Sorry I didn't get to see it sooner ^^;;; Nothing notified me of your comment in the forums =/ But anyway, awesome job ^_^ and goodluck!
