Description

Writing is all in the mind, the heart, the soul. The pen and paper do not matter, for the hand holding the stylus is merely following the orders given it by the brain. It is the writer's mind that develops the story, from concept to thought to scene, and then finally, translating it into the words and sentences of language.

Those of you who have skill to translate the Shioren text, by all means, be my guest and discover more of how this writer's mind works.

IMPORTANT: The Shioren race and alphabet are my creation (Atelier in particular is a representation of myself) and may NOT be used or redrawn in ANY way except if I have first given you permission to do so. I will report violations to site staff for removal.

Good orignal character, and you took it a few steps further as to delevop your own aphalbet and language for it, very inspiring, for I've never honestly tried to create a whole language or writing characters for that matter. I can't seem to create orignal symbols that work complementarily with each other ( I stop at biological asphetics and garments and icons). Your difinitely going somewhere with your talent^^!

I didn't know you were such a poet, Strata. ;)What about if you framed tis one for the art fair and had the translation for it underneath it or something? The translation just gives the picture all the more meaning. :)

thanks for entering Strata! ^_^ I'm trying to translate this but...not going well. Mostly because in you other picture "Alphabet of a Merpeople" I have a hard time making out the symbols and letters...but...I WILL FIND OUT. This is so much fun translating ^^

Okay, I promise that this is the last one on this pic. I translated it, and it took a few hours, but was very fun. ^__^ It reads as follows.

as i sit on shores in my mind, Tide does change.

ideas float on waves of Imagination, they rise (from?) depth for air.

when Light touches them, they take shape like breaching whales.

Light in my soul gives them triumph, and soon Waves crash ashore.

though some be washed away to sea, with each wave anew arive on Next, Bettor.

Sorry I'm babbling at you so much, I don't mean to be annoying.

This time I wanted to ask you something. The more I try and translate, and the more I look at/read about you species, the more I like it. Can I draw a comic using Shiorens and thier language?

same comments as cptshort. Especially the "I won't translate it now but it will come back and I will end up doing it in one way or another" ......if/when I do,I'll have to use another computer because the pixels on my monitor are still messed up from a virus so your alphabet looks rather blurry.....but I will do it one day.....in this lifetime. :)
