This is a pic I drew while I was watching Live8. I am really passionate about getting rid of poverty in Africa and I think Sir Bob Geldof is the man and I'll follow him all the way. For once I am actually proud of Britain for pushing this subject so hard at the G8 summit. And if there's any justice then will be agreed upon by all 8 leaders. i don't understand anyone who doesn't support this cause. It costs over 30,000 lives every day and something should have been done sooner. I wear my white band everyday and so should everyone else! And I have to edit this in because Kyrie had such a brilliant idea. We should all draw our OCs wearing the white bands and post it on here with info about the G8 and poverty and everything. So please if you can, do it!!

I understand you COMPLEATLY. And I like how you're using Kai and Charlie in this pic. Kai is a well-known ((And liked)) character, so that influances the idea.

i love that everyone is doing so much for this aswell but i have no idea were to get the bands i've looked in most places but i cant find any

I know this isn't enough and I'm not doing just this. It's only part of it. But the whole point of Live8 is to raise awareness. I've supported this cause my whole life and will continue to do so. If there was more I could do I'd do it. But right now it's up to Tony and his little buddies. Let's just hope that they make the right decision. But as I have said I am proud that my country is pushing it so hard and fighting for what is right.

Jin, I don't want to sound a downer or anything, but just posting on one Internet page isn't enough. And I doubt most of us could understand what Africans go through each day. We live in a society that's trapped in it's prison of silk and gold. Things would definitely look different if we were stuck in the same situation as them.

Yeah, I love all you guys that agree with this. People in Africa need us to make a stand for them. The government have to listen to us. Like I said over 30,000 children are dying everyday for nothing. And how good would we all feel to be part of the genreation that abolished poverty? No matter how tough our lives get all we have to do is think of that little boy who wasn't chosen to go over the wall to the food and he sat and watched the others eat knowing that he was sentenced to death. Now if that doesn't make you act then nothing will. Our voices can save lives!!

Woooooooooo great picture I'm with you all the way I myself has purchased a Make Poverty History band! When I we getting mine I was reading Kerrang and was pleased to see Gerard Way (CUTE!!!) Duff (HOT!!) Scott Weiland Corey from Slipknot (which kicks major butt!!) Serj from SOAD and that guy from Feeder and that guy frim Biffy Clyro were supporting it as this will make many think about it as they a are role models but kinda makes it a bit bad because they may of only got one cos they saw a celeb they admire with one I was going to go to Live8 but then I got told I couldn't I had a Christening the next day which was a shame so a friend of mine went instead! But anyway getting side tracked I love the picture

I haven't seen all of the Live8 show, but the idea for this pic's really good.

I made a picture a few years back - a painting to be exact - that could fit in this idea, in a way. Check "United We Stand" in my artwork.
