Anubis: Son of Osiris (god of the underworld) and Ephthys (goddess of fertility)... ToadslyQuinneOh wow, I love this a great deal. Anubis is my favourite Egyptian god.

Have you ever seen Freakazoid? They had a short on this episode of a market called "Anubis Markets". Part of it was, "Look for the sign with the jackle-headed man." ^__^

More great colours and very groovy, dynamic shading. Noice.

jiraIt's not that is head is too small it's just that the image is set from a different prespective or point of view (foreshorten effect)...

jiraThan you both for your kind words and inside information... That's what I love about all the myths, they bring alot more than just what's typically known about them...

Sanokurawell....anubis has the head of the jackel, and the egyptians believed that they hung around graveyards (which is true becuase they're scavangers) they very i belive from grey to black, and might possibly be brown. i think the washed out grey is a kind of representation of the fact that they were the eaters of the dead...kind ghost deamons of their time. you know what i mean?

DragonicFlames;:gasp:: It's MEH GOD! I looked over this five times and never saw this picture! ::faver:: OO; How could I miss it?!

Yes, it perfectly displays the heart of the victom being weighed, but I always thought of it being more heart-y because he is the god of mummifcation. You know what I mean? oO;
