Well, my chao model is officially finished!!! Turns out adding color was easier than I thought. It did slow down my computer a little, though. But, on the bright side, I found out how to change the rendering settings for higher quality, and I also lightened the background and made it put some shadows in there.
The only major changes (besides the coloring) are that I upped the polygon count and reconstructed the wings.
You know, for my first 3d model ever, I don't think I did too bad. It certainly looks better than the chao I draw in 2D. Heheheheheheh...
Anyway, I kept the base chao model uncolored and saved a colored copy so if, in the future, I wanted to make, say, a hero or dark chao, it would be easier.
Software used: Wings 3d (freeware version)

Basically, I downloaded the free version of Wings 3d, spent a few days figuring it out then decided a chao would be a simple thing to model.I'm probably going to redo some parts of this model, and add a proper texture to it.
I actually got recruited to work on a 3d game because of this model. ^^
