I'm So Cute!

Description

This is gift-art for my friend Stephanie AGAIN. Stephanie gets all the good stuff. I drew her a semi-cute/noble looking elf because that is what the Internet art quiz told me to draw! Drawing this is just to relieve stress, and I never leave a picture unfinished...sometimes.

"~I'm so Cute!" Obviously, the bird is saying that. Not the elf. The bird is cuter. And fatter.

I drew it with ballpoint pen and then edited the colors with Photoshop. You know you are a lazy, stressed, misunderstood college student when you use gradients to color! That is cheating folks. Cheating. My next picture will most probably maybe be the advertisement for the Christmas contest!

Everyone. You all should be studying now. Get off FAC and start studying!

Life is pretty good for me right now. I'm moving into a new apartment with my lifemates and school is wrapping up for the semester. One more semester to go and I graduate. Yay me. How are you doing?

Thank-you! It always takes me a bit to get the eyes to look symmetrical. In the end, they never do, which is the beauty of being a second-rate artist! P; ohoho

I would have said that the elf is pretty cute too.

It's all those lines that look very interesting to me. It kind of like Tim Burton in a sense.

Tim Burton? Well! I would have never thought my art style could be related to him! I should attempt darker themes, but my dark style already works well...P; I will think about incorporating his style later- maybe into my style...huh. Now you have got me thinking gurl!

Ah man, now I just had a tinge of doing a Gothic manga. NO! NEVER!

;-; I actually like detailing my coloring and line art, so if I had time, the massive coloring detail would have ensued after all. It is just a habit for me to put every artistic element I can into my pictures; it is a habit!

Warm colors feel good! Darker colors bring me down, but they work if you want to create that eerie atmosphere.

LOL! I know right? It is actually an elf boy, but it can definitively be a girl since I did not add breasts, so one would not know. It can be ANY gender you want it to be. <3! xD Thanks so much for the comment! How has drawing/roleplaying been for you?
