FAC New Year Contest (2012)

 CONTEST: New Year Kiss 

Deadline: January 6, 2013 (CLOSED)

Theme: Is there anything better than kissing someone special on January 1, 2012 from 12:00 AM to 12:01 AM for the new year? 2013 is a clean slate for all of us, especially with academics, friends, family, and careers. A small kiss with someone you trust is a good jumping stone to fulfill your deeper resolutions! Draw yourself, your OC, or something that represents you kissing someone/something for the New Year!

Rules:
1. Only 1 submission per user
2. When January 6, 2012 12:00 AM passes, submissions are closed for the contest. We do not take late work, no matter how good you are. :)
3. No explicit sexuality/violence

Scoring Guidelines:
 Skill: 40 points

- You can use crafts, digital mediums, traditional mediums(etc.) to express this theme, but you need skill to make it look good! Whatever style you work with, whether anime or realism, make it synchronize with your idea, and your skill will inevitably show.

 Creativity: 25 points

- Not every New Year kiss works exactly like you planned. Heck, many New Year kisses are surprises from friends or a secret admirer. Would you not want an exciting and not-as-plain kiss? That feeling will hold true for next year too! 

 New Year Element: 20 points

- If you draw a kiss between two people, sure, it is a nice kiss. However, a New Year kiss is mixed with a celebrative air with friends/family watching or fireworks and bright colors coming from the back. Show some form of New Year element in your kiss, and you will get these points. 

 Colors: 15 points

- Fortunately, New Year is not subjected to specific colors. It can be mixed with the passing Christmas (red & green), red and white festive colors, or even the color of your wine. Whatever colors you choose, it still stands that New Year is a festive and COLORFUL time.

A beautiful and soft watercolor piece with not just the custum of fireworks interesting looking ones at that), but also the custum of the lucky rabbit's foot! It is true; if you want good luck for the new year, start off with a lucky charm to keep you going! The angelic and warm feeling of the art piece juxaposes from the generic crazy/wild New Year tradition. It gives a sense of purity and a "clean slate!"
