CONTEST: New Cat Pheral Deadline: September 6, 2013 (CLOSED)
Theme: So who wants a new cat pheral logo? Probably all of FAC. FAC has made many forum posts and polls about making a new pheral, but it is about time to initiate some fresh ideas through a contest just as the first pheral design was. Create a creative (but clear) cat pheral design for FAC's new logo. The concept will be used to determine the new logo design. If you win but you only have traditional (pen and paper) tools, FAC can CG your artwork to fit the header better.
(WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE IDEAS WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE USED FOR THE LOGO. THIS CONTEST MAY COINCIDENTALLY GET THE WORST IDEAS EVER. BUT IT IS A START.)

Rules:
1. 3 submissions per user (you can submit 1, but the more ideas you submit, the higher chances of us choosing one of your logos)
2. When September 6, 2012 12:00 AM passes, submissions are closed for the contest. We do not take late work, no matter how good you are. :)

- You can use crafts, digital mediums, traditional mediums(etc.) to express this theme, but you need skill to make it look good! Whatever style you work with, whether anime or realism, make it synchronize with your idea, and your skill will inevitably show.

- We do not want just a cat looking cute (but maybe we do if you can make it look good)! Something that is fun, catches the viewers' attention, and does something intriguing is gold for the new design. Let's create a design that strays from the boring gray cat look we have had over the years.

- Although having a well-colored and detailed cat is preferred, if the design is too messy and everywhere, it can be difficult to make it look good on the header. Make sure your design is neat and to the point! Since the contest is more about idea/concept, I will be sure to CG/clean any winning "messy' designs. However, always practice cleanliness yourself!

We prefer the submissions to be digital (usually, they are more clear and bright, but that is not always the case), but you can still do traditional designs! As long as your idea and concept is golden, it is good.I just wanted to note that if your design(s) does win, if it is traditionally or possibly unclean, FAC CG it a little for you. No work on your side! Just draw, think of ideas, and submit!

NO, it is okay! I forgot some people do not know.CG = computer generated (basically digital work like pictures done mostly with Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, Paint, GIMP, etc)
Traditional = normal pen, paper, colored pencils, markers, and then just scanning the work as it is (literally the "traditional" or old way of drawing)
This contest does not care what medium (CG or traditional) you use! Just submit the cat designs however way you want! :P

A user can have many creative ideas for how a cat looks on the FAC header. Maybe one design looks good with a pineapple or art pallete. But you also want to add something funny to it, but that one design does not work. Thus, you can submit 2 or 3 designs with different "ideas" for how you want the pheral to look. The more ideas/designs/submissions you give (maximum 3), the more we will consider your work. We are really looking at creativity for this contest!

I tried to make it so that even if there is a 1st place, that does not mean he/she will instantly have the logo we want (maybe their skill and cleanness was high enough to beat the other submissions). Thus, 2nd and 3rd place have the chance for their design to be the official design. We will just have to see how creative everyone gets!If the ideas still do not work for Denis (webmaster), I will just have to draw a lot of designs inspired by your pieces! WE NEED A NEW LOGO NOW!
