My Broken Heart



Silver tears,

Falling from my broken heart.

Falling upon memories…

And dreams from long ago…

Drowning in my sorrow,

In a pool of shining tears.

Wasting all my life,

Chasing after you,

When you were never there to begin with.

When I finally had my wings…

Found my life, my own salvation…

You burned them…

You laughed as the fire consumed me,

Changing me into this monster.

Turning my life around to suit you,

And your ever changing mood.

Now you reject me.

You force me away…

And expect me to just move on!

But I've grown so used to you…

So dependant…

That I find myself falling.

Falling into deep, black fire…

Fallng without my wings…

Into a pool of silver tears…
