Courage

Courage is like an animal that shows its strength

Watches you while you shake

Time and time again it makes you ache

Pain and suffering throughout your day

Watch as one must, as the other falls behind

You turn around as they look towards the sky

Reaching out a hand on this lovely day

You are no longer watching time

Instead you look behind

Thank to you who look behind

To bear the burden of also falling behind

Like the leader of the pack

You watch to see who will attack

Getting ready to defend

Those who are too weak to begin

You see the attacker as he comes

Him thinking he is so strong

Without signal he jumps you from behind

The one you thought was so weak

Is now the strong one you seek

Who defended you when you were weak

Now you see it's not the title but the heart

That shows courage from the start
