Eyes half closed.
Eyes half shut.
Afraid to open them.
So I keep them shut.
Keep them closed.
Seeing only what I want.
Hearing only what I say.
Day by day.
Night by night.
They stay shut.
So I don’t shout.
So I won’t cry.
So I won’t pout.
They stay shut.
As I stay cold.
Waiting for me to die.
Or maybe to live.
When the time is right.
Ill open them.
They will open.
And I will see.
All the world.
Has to show to me.
But until the world.
Can do it right.
I will listen.
Day and night.
