rain falls in fields of gray
daylight's shadows come to play
sleep my child eternally
in your dreams may you be free
whispered words,
fallen angels breath
lies behind a veil of death

night has come,
now close your eyes
fall into your clouded skies
sleep my child eternally
of this madness may you be free
pray you die before you wake
and your soul thy lord to take
nothing is left for you here
so go to sleep and dream, my dear
travel into your darkened night
only there you'll find a light
listen to what the voices say
follow them, you'll find the way
leave this place far behind
build somewhere inside your mind
it's getting cold, say goodbye
go get your wings and learn to fly
