Chapter 3 - DAy 3

"Good Morning." Cassy said as she saw Jess open her eyes to see her sitting on the edge of the bed."Good Morning." Jess replied, looking at Cassy, who was wearing a light blue tank top and dark blue jeans."Sleep well?" Cassy asked, looking into Jess’ eyes."It was with you wasn’t it?" Jess replied.Cassy let a small laugh escape her neko mouth as she ran her neko fingers through Jess’ messy brown hair."So what’s for breakfast?" Jess asked as she started to pick herself up and out of bed."Whatever you want." Cassy replied with a smile as she too got up out of bed."Alright then. I’ll be ready soon." Jess said."Okay, don’t be long though." Cassy replied."Alright, I’ll hurry."Then they kissed softly.Then Cassy walked out of the room. As Cassy walked out of the room Jess got out a bright pink tee shirt and light blue jeans with a hole in the lower right leg area and white tennis shoes.It took her thirty minutes to get ready though.So, thirty minutes later (this is going from before she got dressed by the way) Jess came out of the bed room and saw Jak sitting on the couch wearing a torn lime green shirt and dark, almost black, blue jeans."Sleep well?" Jak asked, not moving from his seat."Great." Jess replied with a smile."You two did it didn’t you?" Jak asked, switching his gaze from the television in front of him to Jess."No." Jess replied as she headed into the kitchen to fix herself a breakfast.Jak said nothing as he just sat there and shook his head in disbelief."So, what are you going to fix?" Cassy asked as she drank a glass of milk.Jess then found two eggs in the refrigerator door.One hour later…"I don’t have to go to work today." Cassy said as she sat her fourth glass of milk on the counter."But it says that you have to on the calendar." Jess said as she motioned to the calendar near the entrance of the kitchen."Last minute change. They called two hours ago and said that I had the day off." Cassy replied with a smile on her face."Jessica, Can I talk to you for a sec?" Jak asked standing in the kitchen’s door way."Sure." She replied."Follow me."Jess then followed Jak outside onto the porch of the house."Do you really wanna know why she is able to stay home today?" Jak asked as Jess closed the door."I thought Cassy said that they just gave her some time off." "No, they didn’t." Jess had a confused look on her face."They called two hours ago and-" Jak started."And what?" Jess interrupted."And they fired her.""WHAT?! Why?""They found out that she was gay. And to top off firing her, they blacklisted her name.""She’ll never be able to get a job again," Jess said," will she?""No, and don’t tell her that I told you this. Alright?""Alright.""Also, to make up for this I am going to change my name and start applying for a few jobs." Jak said as he started back into the house."What kind?" Jess asked, grabbing Jak’s arm."Anything."Jess then remembered that the police office should be looking for another officer since she got the promotion."I think I could tell you were to get a job, but your name will have to be changed legally, and permanently.""I kinda figured that, what is the job?""The police office, they should be in need of another officer since I got the promotion to be a body guard.""Really?" Only one thing I can say to that." Jak said with a smile on his neko face."What?""Were do I apply?"Jess let a small laugh creep out of her mouth.Two minutes later…"Go to this address." Jess said as she handed Jak a folded piece of paper, " and tell him that Sara Jane sent you.""Sara Jane? Why not Jessica Green?""You’ll find out there.""Okay, if you say so, and by the looks of this address I will probably be gone for a while. So don’t wait up for me." Jak said as he headed out of the door."Like we ever do." Jess replied as she closed the door behind Jak.Just as Jess closed the door, Cassy came into the living room."Where is Jak going?" Cassy asked putting her tail around Jess’ waist."Who knows?" Jess lied."How long will he be gone?""Late.""So we will be alone all day?" Cassy asked, facing Jess."Looks like it." Jess replied with a smile as she turned around to meet Cassy’s gaze.Their lips met once more, but this time with more passion than before. Also this time, Cassy’s neko hands started to lift Jess’ shirt and she didn’t stop her.Unfortunately, today’s story doesn’t involve Cassy and Jess. It’s about Jak getting a job.Jak heard a soft moan come from the house as he got into the 2030 Linen."I don’t even want to know." He said to himself as he backed out of the drive wayAbout twenty minutes later, Jak came up to a old, run down looking apartment.Jak looked at the paper once more."No way is this right." Jak said as he got out of the vehicle.As Jak approached the door of the apartment, he heard someone say hello. He looked over his shoulder quickly, but saw nobody."Weird."As he got up to the door and was about to knock, it swung open and revealed a middle aged, gray haired, golden eyed human."Who sent you?" the man asked."Sara Jane." Jak replied, remembering what Jessica had told him."I remember her. She was my first customer." The man said as he moved over to the side to let Jak in."What did you change her name into?""Jessica Green.""Why did she ask you to change her name?" "Her real name was blacklisted so she asked me to officially change her name so she could start supporting herself again."Jak just stood there in silence."Anyway, my name is Alex Jones. How may I help you?""My sister’s name was blacklisted, I need you to change mine so I can get a job.""Any certain name in mind?" Alex asked as he headed over to a gigantic computer that took up a whole wall."Jak Colly.""Okay, what is your original name?" The man asked as he started typing."Jak Wendell.""Okay, so you just want your last name changed?" Alex said as he kept on typing."Yeah. How much will this cost?""For a friend of Sara? Nothing.""Cool." Jak said, sitting on a nearby couch."Now please give me all forms of identification that you have."Jak reached into his wallet and pulled out his social security number and his driver’s license.As soon as they touched Alex’s hand, they were in a shredder"This will take some time, there are some drinks in the kitchen. Help yourself." Alex said as he stopped typing and stood up.Eight hours, and ten drinks, later…"Is it done yet?" Jak asked Alex."Just about." Alex replied sitting back down at the computer.Then a loud crash noise echoed through the halls."Now it is." Alex said, pulling two small objects from the computer."What are those?""Here is your new license and social security card. You are now, officially, Jak Colly.""Didn’t think it was that simple.""It isn’t. Since you are now a different neko, you can no longer answer to your old name, and you also have to erase your past, including this moment.""So I have to erase everything?""Everything. Otherwise the illusion would not work.""Everything.""Yes, everything."Five minutes later as Jak was climbing into the car."He says everything. But I ain’t gonna do that."Forty minutes later Jak was pulling up to the police office that Jessica worked at."How may I help you?" A young beautiful orange fur and light blue eyed female neko asked as she saw Jak walk in."Yeah, I heard that you would have a job opening.""How did you know?""Know what?" Jak asked, playing stupid."We just got a position opening up.""Really? For what?""An officer just became a body guard, so we need-" The young female neko started."An officer?""Yes.""Can I take it?""Just give me a name and a number and I will see if I can get you a interview with the chief.""Okay, got a piece of paper and a pen?"The young neko handed him two pieces of paper and a pen."So I guess you are Jamie Star and this is your number."The neko just nodded.Jak then smiled and let out a small laugh."Well here is my name and number and my name and number. Call me even if I don’t get a interview." Jak said with a smile as he handed back a piece of paper that was torn in half.The young neko giggled as she took the paper from his hand."I’ll see you around." Jak said as he headed out of the police office."Hopefully." Jamie replied as Jak walked out the door.It was midnight when Jak got home."Hello? Anybody awake?" Jak asked as he opened the door and turned on the light.As soon as the light came on, Jak saw his sister and Jess on the couch, asleep, naked.With out a second thought, Jak went into his sister’s room and pulled off the comforter. He then went bask into the living room were the lover’s were asleep and placed the comforter on top of them."Good night pipsqueek." He said softly to his sister.Jak didn’t bother eating dinner, infact, he was so tired he just went straight to bed and fell asleep before he was in it.
