Chapter 1 - Night Terrors
Chapter 1:
Night Terror
She was running hard. The rain pouring down was hitting her already drenched body. Th moon was full, and the man was catching up to her.
She tripped, her bare feet slipping on the wet forest floor. She was exhausted. She couldn't get up. Then the man was on her. He pinned her down, shoving the knife in her face. She held his wrist so he couldn't reach her, but she was losing her grasp.
Then, out of the darkness a silent arrow flew through the air, hitting the man in the chest. The man yelled and tumbled off of the girl. A loud whistle pierced the air. Ten strong looking young men stepped out from the cover of the trees. Two of them grabbed the man. She was picked up and flung over the shoulder of the man carrying her.
The group stalked off into the night.
