Chapter 2 - The Mistletoe Incident

"So, what do you want for Christmas?" asked Maria.
"Nothing," answered Shadow.
"You can't want nothing!" exclaimed Maria.
"Yes I can," disagreed Shadow.
"There's gotta be one thing!" replied Maria.
"You to be my girlfriend," Shadow thought.
"Nope," He got up. Maria came after him.
"I already got you a present, anyway,"
"You did?" asked Shadow, stopping. Maria stopped too.
"Yeah, of course!" Shadow smiled.
"I got you something too," Maria smiled back.
"Shadow," said a voice. Shadow looked over at the voice- who was Amy.
"Hi, Amy!" exclaimed Maria.
"Hi," replied Amy.
"What's up?" asked Shadow.
"The mistletoe above you two's heads," answered Amy. Shadow blushed redder than his eyes and looked up. Maria went as red as Knuckles' fur and also looked up. Sure enough, there it was. Maria looked back at Shadow. They WERE in a doorway. Why could she see that before? Shadow leaned back against the doorway nervously.
"Come on! It's just a kiss! It can't be on the cheek though...," informed Amy. Maria walked over to Shadow, bent down to his height, and kissed his lips gently for five seconds. She stood up completely and looked at Amy.
"That's a real kiss, right?" Amy shook her head.
"No, but that's okay. You're just twelve, so...," Maria looked at Shadow. He was blushing extremely hard.
"You okay?" asked Maria. Shadow nodded.
"Yeah, just fine,"
"You sure?" asked Maria.
"Yeah," answered Shadow.
"Sorry," Maria apologized.
"It's okay, I just don't know why this happened again," informed Shadow. Maria smiled and started walking away. She stopped.
"By the way, you're cute when you blush," Shadow blushed harder and Maria walked off. Shadow rubbed his face.
"I'm so nervous around her! How long is this going to last?!"
"Shadow, are you sure your okay?" asked Amy. Shadow looked at her.
"Yeah," Amy got beside him so she wasn't under the mistletoe.
"No you're not,"
"And why do you say that?" asked Shadow, crossing his arms.
"Most people would've gotten over their blush," answered Amy. Shadow looked down. Amy gasped.
"You like Maria!"
"No I don't," said Shadow.
"Then you love her," replied Amy. Shadow covered Amy's mouth, still looking down. He looked up a her.
"If you tell anyone I will kill you," Amy moved Shadow's hand.
"I don't think Sonic will be very happy,"
"Then I'll kill him too," replied Shadow.
"I don't think Maria would like that much either," informed Amy. Shadow growled.
"Shut up," Amy smirked and walked away.
"I'm doomed," said Shadow, hitting his forehead.
