Chapter 8 - The bitter struggle Part 1

Mifune and the black robed man were standing facing each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.[br]
“Before we begin” Mifune spoke “Draw your weapon. I will not fight an unarmed opponent”[br]
The robed man grinned under his mask and replied “How honourable. Very well give me a little moment”[br]
As soon as he said, that he click his fingers and a massive wolf – about the same height as him - appeared from a puff of white smoke[br]
[br]
Mifune was perplexed What does he intend to do with the oversized wolf. Surely not send it out to fight me. Does he not have any honour? He thought still keeping his guard up[br]
“Curious aren’t you?” The robed man spoke out “Don’t worry this wolf is not a normal wolf”[br]
“I can see that by its unnatural size” Mifune analysed[br]
“True, but. This wolf is in fact a weapon yokai”[br]
“I see. So I assumed you named it and now you own it”[br]
“Of course. How else would I be able to wield her?”[br]
The robed man then petted his weapon yokai “Alright Okami, transform”[br]
With this, the yokai wolf know as Okami turned into a samurai sword[br]
“Ready Mifune” the man asked[br]
“Whenever you’re ready” Replied Mifune[br]
There was another long silence as the two stared at each other one more time before they truly started to battle[br]
[br]
Meanwhile Stein and his team were approaching what Azusa said would be the secret exit that some of the Arachnophobia operatives were using to escape the battle.[br]
By this time the entire team had been informed of what they were supposed to look for[br]
“There’s the pyramid shaped rock” Pointed out Maka[br]
“Excellent now to find the entrance into the secret escape route” Informed Stein as they stooped running to look around[br]
As they were searching for the way in, an arachnophobia scientist accidently ran into Kidd[br]
“Ow! What the hell?” The scientist mumbled as he fell to the ground and then it dawned on him what he ran into Oh shoot I’m done for he thought as he slowly got up and was about to run away. That was until Kidd pointed his twin guns at the man[br]
“Don’t move. Least you want your soul to be sent to the afterlife” Kidd ordered as he walked closer to the frighten scientist[br]
“Please spare me, I was only following orders. Please let me live” The scientist begged already on his knees[br]
“Think we should let him go Kidd-kun?” Asked Liz[br]
“Hrm. Tell me where is the secret entrance that you just used to escape and I think I’ll let you go” Kidd said as he lowered his twin guns[br]
“Oh thank you. Thank you. I’ll show you. It’s this way. Follow me” The man said beckoning Kidd to follow[br]
Kidd smiled and followed him. Fair enough the man kept his promise and led him to the secret entrance”[br]
“Now am I allowed to live now?” The man asked nervously[br]
“You kept your word so yes, your free to go” Thanked Kidd “But just make sure I don’t catch you doing this sort of thing again, you got that”[br]
The scientist nodded and ran away.[br]
Alright. Now that I found the entrance. I better tell the others Kidd thought as he whistled for the others to come to his location. Not long after they all turned up[br]
“Nice work Kidd” praised Stein “Now let’s get moving”[br]
Everyone agreed and followed Stein into the secret escape tunnel into the Arachnophobia’s base[br]
[br]
Back at the main gate Mifune and the black robed man were duelling each other[br]
Their swords clashed continuously, but neither of them was gaining the upper hand.[br]
They soon backed away from each other trying to get some of their breath back.[br]
“You’re good Mifune” Complemented the robed man “But don’t think I’m going to let you win”[br]
“The same goes for you” Mifune replied “By the way I just realised that you know my name, but I do not know yours. Mind telling me?”[br]
“Of course not” The man agreed “But I’m afraid you’re going to have to settle with a fake name, because I don’t want to reveal my true identity just yet. You understand right?”[br]
“Fair enough. Just so long I can name the person that I battle with”[br]
“Then you can call me Aku for the time being”[br]
“Very well then “Aku” shall we go another round?”[br]
Aku grinned under the mask and replied “Of course”[br]
The two were once again tensing up for an oncoming attack from the other[br]
Their last duel lasted ten minutes and now their going at it again with more power? Scary. Crona thought to herself as she observed the battle from a “safe” distance along with the rest of Mifune’s squad.[br]

Within the Arachnophobia base Mosquito was looking at several monitors observing all that was happening in and around the base. It was then the he saw Stein and his team using the secret entrance to get inside[br]
“Damn it” he cursed “Things are moving far too quickly. I guess there is no other choice”[br]
Mosquito got out of his chair and started to walk out of the room. But before he did he gave one final order to the remaining scientist that did not flee “If I should fall in battle I want you to awaken the Kishin immediately”[br]
“But Mosquito-sama she is still incomplete” One of the scientists objected[br]
“I would rather have the Kishin able to stand and fight then be destroyed before she can have a chance to be free. Now is that understood?” Mosquito barked[br]
“Y yes of course Mosquito-sama. Forgive my rudeness” The scientist apologised[br]
Mosquito never said a word, instead he just walked out, leaving the Kishin alone with the scientists[br]
Lady Oni. I promise I won’t let them hurt you. Just leave everything to me. I’ll take care of these annoying rats Mosquito thought as he walked to where he would encounter Stein’s team and do battle with them[br]
