Chapter 10 - The bitter struggle Part 3

Within the walls of the Arachnophobia base, Stein and the others were now facing a titanic problem. Mosquito, the organisation’s new leader, was blocking their way to the still sleeping Kishin. If they could not get passed him then all hope would be lost to prevent the Kishin’s awakening.[br]

“I’ve lived for many hundreds of years” Mosquito boasted “And no-one has ever been able to best me in combat”[br]
Black Star twitched and replied “That’s not true. I think we bested you back when we were getting BREW”[br]
Mosquito only chuckled “I remember that slightly differently. I recall letting you leave in peace”[br]
“Yeah, after we nearly killed you” Corrected Maka[br]
“Hmph. Well in any case, you’ve only bested one of my many forms”[br]
“I think cause we beat you at your most toughest, I think we’ve got you beat already?” Interpreted Kidd[br]
“Yes, in my form of two hundred years ago I was at my toughest. But I’m going beyond that. I’m going into my form of four hundred years ago when I was at my fastest”[br]
Everyone gasped.[br]
Slowly Mosquito’s body started to transform. His entire body elongated and the length of his torso, legs, arms and even his pointy nose were significantly longer then before.[br]
“Lets se how you fare against me now Shinigami dogs”[br]

Everyone braced themselves for the coming attack and they were surprised to have Mosquito already behind them. Everyone then tried to move out of the way in any possible way they could.[br]
“Too slow” announced Mosquito as he made a beeline towards Maka “I’m going to drink your blood till your body’s dry”[br]
“Maka!” Alerted Soul[br]
“I know” replied Maka as she tried to manoeuvre herself away from Mosquito’s pointed nose, as that was the instrument to how he is able to suck the blood out of his victims[br]
On Maka’s part it was futile to avoid Mosquito’s attack as he was moving inhumanly fast to the point that it was all put impossible to get out of the way. Just when it looked like Maka was done for, Black Star suddenly moved in the way of Mosquito and had managed to grab his pointed nose and threw him clear the other direction. Needless to say Mosquito was not only shocked but also furious.[br]
“How the hell did you manage to keep up with me?” he growled[br]
Black Star smirked and said “Easy, I used my speed star technique which makes me move very fast as well”[br]
“I see, so I guess that means we could be on equal ground when it comes to speed?”[br]
“Not a chance”[br]
“What?”[br]
“I’m the man who’s going to surpass God so you will never be able to beat me”[br]
Mosquito started to laugh “Is that so? Well first your going to have defeat me before you can get near the Demon God I have here”[br]
Black Star chuckled.[br]

“I think we better go while Black Star is taking care of Mosquito here” Stein suggested and everyone agreed[br]
“Hey Black Star, think you can handle him alone?” Kidd playfully mocked[br]
Black Star replied with a thumbs up and said “No problem”[br]
Everyone smiled and then went down the corridor to locate the sleeping Kishin[br]
“Don’t think that your friends will get too far before I kill them” said Mosquito preparing to attack[br]
“Well if you want to get to my friends you’ll have to beat me first” replied Black Star, also preparing to attack[br]
The two stood glaring at one and another waiting for the next move[br]

Tsubaki who was still in her Chain scythe weapon form and being held by Black Star felt a little concerned[br]
“Black Star?” she said in a tone of voice meaning “You ready?”[br]
Black Star nodded “Lets do this Tsubaki”[br]
With that said Black Star launched himself towards Mosquito, who in turn was mimicking him. “Tsubaki, ninja sword mode, now” Black Star ordered[br]
Tsubaki agreed and transformed from her Chain scythe weapon form to her Ninja Sword form.[br]
Black Star and Mosquito were now on a fast paced battle of stamina, to see who could doge who the longest and who could kill the other the quickest, with both of them attacking and then defending and then attacking again, a sort of tug of war type battle.[br]

Over time, as this tug of was battle went on, the two began to tire and that was becoming evident by their speed decreasing steadily.[br]
Unconsciously, the two, in unison, temporarily backed away from each other to try and catch their breath[br]
“I must……admit…..your pretty good…kid” Wheezed Mosquito[br]
“Don’t call me kid……that sounds like you belittling me…….I’m going to surpass God…so don’t talk to me like that” Panted Black Star[br]
“Unattainable dreams are the best kind” Mosquito mocked[br]
“Unattainable my @$$” snapped Black Star as he quickly charged again towards Mosquito[br]
Damn it here he comes again thought Mosquito as he tried to brace himself for the coming attack[br]
“Tsubaki, smoke bomb now” ordered Black Star[br]
Again Tsubaki agreed and turned into a smoke bomb. The moment she transformed Black Star threw her between him and Mosquito. As Tsubaki exploded (Don’t worry this doesn’t kill her for those who don’t watch the anime) and let loose the smoke, Black Star erupted from behind it and tried to smack Mosquito’s face in with an extremely powerful punch[br]
“Think I’m that easy you little brat” growled Mosquito as he grabbed Black Star and tossed him the corridor walls[br]
Black Star feel unconscious from the impact and Mosquito gloated in his victory and was about to finish him off when suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his back[br]
“What the hell?!” gasped Mosquito[br]
When he managed to look behind him it turned out that Black Star was behind him and this out rightly caused some major confusion[br]
“Wait if your there then who’s?” Mosquito said trying to gain his breath, as he looked at the Black Star that was sitting at the wall. A puff of smoke later it was revealed that the one Mosquito planted into the wall was Tsubaki, using the copy star technique[br]
“It’s over for you now” Black Star stated as he poured his soul wavelength into Mosquito with enough force to kill him[br]
As Mosquito was flung down and corridor and his body started to fade away it turned out that he was smiling and still clinging to his quickly diminishing life[br]
“What’s so funny?” Black Star questioned[br]
Mosquito chuckled “I think there is something I forgot to tell you. I told the scientist keeping watch over the Kishin that if I die then they will awaken her, complete or not”[br]
“What?!” Black Star snapped[br]
“It’s true and now that I die, you will understand what true fear is” With those words said, Mosquito’s body finally faded away and Black Star was left alone to tend to the unconscious Tsubaki, but with the thought of the Kishin’s awakening haunting his mind. Maka, Soul, Kidd, Liz, Patti and Stein. You better have gotten to the Kishin by now or else were going to be dealing it[br]
