Chapter 15 - The depth of Darkness

Kishin Oni was now under the full effects of the Soul Search technique. Her mind had left her body and had dived into the inner consciousness of her soul.[br]
The world the Kishin Oni found herself in as quite a bizarre place. At first there was nothing. But slowly a world began to appear, with buildings and trees etc.[br]
After some time the once blank canvas of her inner world now took on a life of it’s own, with people walking round street corners and entering buildings.[br]
So this is what my inner world looks like Oni thought to herself as she looked around[br]

“Lady Oni” A voiced echoed from out of nowhere “If you can hear me, I want you to go in search of the other you and make her submit to your will. Only if you can do that will you have the power to destroy Shinigami”[br]
Oni was so mesmerized by the world around her that she nearly forgot her purpose in this strange world[br]
That’s right I have to find the weakling other me and make her submit to me Oni thought clearing hear head of any cobwebs Right time to go hunting…But where do I start?[br]

Back in the real world, Aku was keeping a close eye on Kishin Oni, just in case something went wrong with the Soul Search.[br]
Just when he began to feel that everything was going well, he felt a strong presence approach.[br]
This wavelength. It’s impossible. There is no way it could be him. But how can I deny this presence I’m feeling. There is no doubt it’s him. But how? Aku thought in total shock at what he was feeling. I have to confront him and see if it is him[br]

Aku left the room where Oni was and charged for the door to his hideout. Once he emerged from the enclosure of his hideout, what awaited Aku outside his door brought him nearly to his knees[br]
“It IS you” he gasped “But how is this possible”[br]
“It’s been a long time hasn’t it old friend”[br]
“But how?” How did you break the seal?”[br]
“A lot of time, trial and error”[br]
Aku was now gritting his teeth Oni if you don’t force the other you to submit soon, you won’t be able to do it at all[br]
“So what have you been up to lately Aku? Is that the name you go by now?”[br]
“Yeah I go by that name. I’ve been doing very little I’m afraid”[br]
“Very little? If you class creating the new Kishin very little. I’d hate what a lot is”[br]
“Just what brings you here?”[br]
“I’m here to kill your precious Kishin”[br]
[br]
Back in the inner world of Oni’s soul. Kishin Oni was still searching for her other self, but was have little success.[br]
Damn it. Where is that girl Oni thought as she frantically looked around Where would she hide?[br]
As if by some miracle Kishin Oni discovered, out of the crowd of generic people, a person that looked like her human state[br]
“I finally found you” she said to herself as she approached[br]
[br]
“So this is where you hide” Kishin Oni said addressing her other self[br]
Human Oni turned and nearly died of shock at what she was seeing “You’re me?” she stammered[br]
“That’s right. Now why don’t you be a good girl and give up you little game of reclaiming your body”[br]
“No. Never. This is my body and you can’t have it. Arachne promised me that I would be a great and powerful person, so I can’t let you take over.[br]
Kishin Oni laughed[br]
“What exactly do you find so funny?”[br]
“It’s just how ignorant you are that’s all”[br]
“Ignorant?”[br]
“Yeah. Arachne only used you so that you could become Kishin…, which in fact is me. In other words, the one Arachne really desired was me, not you, me.[br]
“You’re lying. That can’t be true…. it just can’t”[br]
“Oh but it is. Just look at me. I’m a bonafide Kishin, while you are nothing more then a pathetic human. Even you have to understand the Arachne wanted a Kishin. Well I’m that Kishin. Now if you really are loyal to her I suggest you give me control of your body right now if you know what’s good for you”[br]
The human Oni was now in tears. She just couldn’t comprehend what she was hearing. What made the situation worse was the fact that the other her was absolutely right. She was only the host, a tool for a greater scheme.[br]
“Well?” Kishin Oni barked “You gonna give up or what?”[br]
The human Oni hesitated but within her heart she felt that whatever light that she had, whatever reason to live was now gone and all was left was to give the Kishin her what she desired.[br]
“Are you absolutely sure that you are the one that Arachne really wanted?” the human Oni asked, hoping for some hope[br]
Kishin Oni was now getting a little irritated “Of course. Now will you?”[br]
“I will”[br]
An evil grin spread across Kishin Oni’s face. “Then take my hand and let’s be done with this then”[br]
The human Oni hesitantly reached out and grabbed the other hers hand. As she did the world around then vanished and turned into a world of infinite blackness.[br]
“Where are we” Oni said distressed[br]
“You new home” Kishin Oni replied as she vanished into the blackness[br]
“My new home?” Oni said to herself No this is a prison. To keep me from interfering[br]
[br]
With Kishin Oni’s mission complete she was able to regain consciousness. As she woke up she realised that she felt far more powerful then she did before. She didn’t feel as restrained as she did. She felt free, liberated and of course unstoppable.[br]
“Where is Aku” she asked herself[br]
It didn’t take long for her to figure out where he was, as she felt a very strong presence in the area.[br]
Well this is interesting she thought It seems that he couldn’t wait for me to come to him so he has come to me instead[br]
Oni then charged out of the room and out of the hideout to see Aku standing toe to toe with none other the Shinigami-sama himself[br]
“Speak of the Devil” Shinigami spoke out[br]
Aku turned and only said “Lady Oni?”[br]
Kishin Oni started to laugh maniacally “Shinigami you’re a fool coming here. You just couldn’t wait for death to come to you so you have come to death”[br]
“No I’m here to put an end to you”[br]
“We’ll see about that”[br]
[br]
Thus this was the beginning of a battle that would ultimately decide the fate of the world[br]
“Prepare to die Shinigami” Kishin Oni hissed as she readied her self for battle[br]
