Chapter 22 - The retreat Part 2

Oni looked completely different. Everyone looking out the windows of the flying people carriers could tell that what Oni had become was something out of nightmares.[br]
“Is that really Oni?” Marie asked aloud[br]
“Yeah that’s her alright” Confirmed Azusa “Her wavelength is significant different but there are definite telltale signs of her original wave length, so that is her without a doubt”[br]
“I see! I knew that she will looked different after her transformation but I never expected her to look this different”[br]
Everyone agreed with Marie’s observation. At a glance Oni looked nothing like her what she was only moments ago. Not surprising since almost physical every aspect of her person had changed.[br]
[br]
The standard three Kishin eyes were gone and replaced with four eyes, a pair above the other. Her eye colour was now longer red but an eerie purple that seemed to shine almost constant. Oni’s hair was now longer and the colour had changed also, from a deep purple to blood red. It seems as if the colour of Oni’s hair and eyes had switched places. But the thing that had the most impact from the transformation was Oni’s body structure. Before Oni had the body structure of a teenage girl, not surprising as she is one. But now! Now Oni’s body structure was that of a grown woman, which came as a shock to all who’ve seen Oni before her transformation.[br]
[br]
After her emergence from the shell, Oni merely floated in the air not moving a muscle. She was trying to contemplate what had just happened. Eventually she looked down at her free hand and clenched it repeatedly as if she was trying to figure out what power she had by doing so. Almost without warning she began to laugh hysterically.[br]
“I’ve done it!” she cheered, “I’ve become what no one could ever become. I’ve become a Musou Megami” Oni then looked down at what was left of Death City and saw her army of Lost Soul looking back at her, waiting to be told what to do.[br]
She then hovered down to ground level and looked at the destruction that she and her infernal army had wrought[br]
“Excellent, we’ve done well. With Death City in ruins and its current inhabitants removed, the time has come for a new age to begin, my age.” Oni preached as she walked into the crumbling halls of Shibusen, followed closely by a few Lost Souls.[br]
[br]
Back on the flying people carriers the pilots in their respected vessels told everyone to be seated as they were about to go full throttle of the engines to finally escape from Death city before Oni decided to attack them while they lingered around.[br]
Stein however did not sit down, as he was too busy trying to keep Maka alive.[br]
“Great the pilot certainly likes to pick his moment to punch the boost button” Stein cursed under his breath.[br]
The carrier shock violently as the engines reached full power. Stein held on the table that Maka was lying on and made sure she didn’t go sliding off it till the carrier reached it’s destination.[br]
[br]
After an hour or so of flying at an insane speed the carriers finally began to slow down and land. Once the doors were open, people flooded out of the carriers like ants coming out of an anthill.[br]
Where the survivors of Death City ended up was ironically the site of the originally Arachnophobia base, back when Asura was alive. The base was replaced by a copy of Death City that was made for the purpose of emergencies. Basically the Death City that was hiding here was smaller and still under construction, but even so it was enough for everyone to live and hide from Oni’s grip of terror.[br]
[br]
The first thing everyone did as they exited from the carriers was picking a house to live in. But for the injured it was straight to the infirmary.[br]
At the infirmary Stein worked on getting Maka’s soul back to normal by bringing it back from it’s crushed state[br]
Who knew that Oni had the power to do this Stein thought as he feverously tried to revive Maka It is unreal how strong she was as a Kishin, but as what she is now I don’t even want to think about it[br]
Else where in the infirmary Mira Nygus was working to piece together Soul’s mind.[br]
First Oni’s crushes her target’s mind and Soul Possess what is left. Truly she is dangerous. Mira thought as she reflected on Soul broken mind[br]
[br]
Back at the original Death City, Oni immediately got her Lost Soul Army to work by using what ever power they had to re-build the city to Oni’s liking. In the Death Room, the Lost Souls had constructed a throne for Oni to sit on.[br]
“Finally this world is mine.” Oni mused, “Now all that is left is to master my powers and remove anyone that can oppose my power… Namely those persistent bugs of Shibusen”[br]
Oni then asked for a piece of paper to be brought to her so she can write a letter. Obediently one of her monstrous slaves presented her a pen and paper.[br]
After about five minutes of writing Oni handed the paper back to the Lost Soul who brought it to her.[br]
“I want you to takes this message to Mabaa, leader of all Witches. Make sure she gets it and DO NOT attack anyone. Got that?” Ordered Oni[br]
The Lost Soul nodded, as it understood what was asked of it. It then vanished into thin air and went to deliver its master’s important message to Mabaa.[br]

nextguardianWow, things sure go to hell quickly for the various sides in this story, don't they? Between the power one has and the injury another has, it's a very exciting chapter.
