Chapter 1 - The Forgotten

Chapter 1 - The Forgotten

In the breeze I hear a cry

I see a lonely soldier

I ask him why do you cry?

He turns and says I cry for the

forgotten, no victory is worth this

pain.

It began to rain, and he said

The rain may wash away blood

and tears, but it cannot wash away

my sorrow.

The rain came harder and he turned

away and said: We fight, but at what

cost,

All those brave enough to fight, and

then

They die and worse I know that in

time

We all if not already, will be forgotten,

lost in time.

In the distance I hear thunder,

The soldier turns I must go, but

here he said

And handed me his sword, never

forget this battle

Remember what price was paid

for a victory that would be forgotten.

Remember me my name is peace.

And remember that no victory is

worth this price, and then to be

forgotten.
