Slow Dance



There's that girl

She looks at you as she twirls

You go bright pink

Your heart sinks

She slowly walks over to you

Your mouth is stuck shut with invisible glue

She smiles

This is all worth your while

She asks, “Do you want to dance?”

Heart prancing

Inside your body a big gigantic “YES!” screams

You gleam

A small “yes” wiggles its way through

You pull her closer to you

Not wanting to wake up from this dream

As though its seems

There you are, people stare

A slow dancing pair
