Chapter 14 - Complaints

Myoga- 45. Job: owns a shop. Personality: nice and polite. Looks: bald, short and plump.

I already ate." Kagome said. "I cooked while you were busy pounding on the door."

"I was going to take you out." Inuyasha said.

"How about I cook for you and we'll call it even." Kagome said.

"Fine but you owe me another date too." Inuyasha said.

Kagome opened her mouth to argue but quickly shut it. The look on his face told her that he wouldn't take no for an answer. She just went to the kitchen and heated up the oden she had eaten earlier.

When it was done she served him some. They sat on the couch. Kagome waited for him to get done because she had to pick some things up from the store. "So where do you work?" Kagome asked.

"Who said I worked?" Inuyasha asked.

"Well I just thought you'd have a job. I mean you're twenty three and own your own floor." Kagome said.

"I don't need to work. I inherited my parent's money when they died." Inuyasha said.

"How come Sesshomaru works?" Kagome asked.

"He says he needs something to occupy his time."

"Seems like Rin does a good job of that." Kagome laughed.

"I guess. He hasn't shown up for work since he met her at the bar." He said finishing up the oden. "Thanks it was good."

"You're welcome. Well, I guess you should get going." Kagome said.

"What, are you trying to get rid of me?"

"No, it's just that I have things to do." Kagome said.

"Like what?"

"Like buying groceries and some clothes."

"I'll go with you."

"Why would you want to come with me? I'm just buying some things." Kagome said.

"Because I want to go." Inuyasha said. "Do you have to argue with everything I have to say?"

"Well if you're going to have that kind of attitude I don't think you should come with me. I wouldn't want your fowl mood to ruin my shopping." Kagome said.

"I'm sorry." Inuyasha apologized. "Are we going or not?"

"Fine." Kagome said. "But don't complain about it later."

Inuyasha shrugged, "Why would I complain?"

"Obviously you've never been shopping with a female before." Kagome said. She grabbed her coat and purse and they left.

They got into Inuyasha's car. He was still confused about why he'd complain about it later. He shrugged it off and headed towards the shopping area.

A couple hours later and Inuyasha knew what Kagome meant by complaining. He was being dragged from shop to shop with bags of clothing. "Are you done yet?" Inuyasha asked.

"No, I still need to get some other things." Kagome said.

"Oh come on. We've been running around for forever." Inuyasha said.

"See? I told you you'd complain." Kagome turned around to glare at him.

"I didn't think I'd be stuck carrying your things." Inuyasha said.

"I can't carry all of them, I have to look for my things." Kagome said.

"I think you're just doing this to torture me." Inuyasha said.

A smirk started to appear on her face. "It took you long enough to figure it out." Kagome giggled. "I was certain you'd figure it out the first hour."

"That's it, we're leaving." Inuyasha said.

"Oh no you're not! You have my things and I'm not done shopping." Kagome poked his arm.

"I don't care, I have to pick Shippo up soon." Inuyasha said.

"Well why didn't you say that in the first place?" Kagome said raising her voice. "We could've left already."

"I didn't know, you were just..." Inuyasha started. He figured it was pointless to argue. "Let's just go."

They walked out of the store. Inuyasha shoved everything in the trunk of his car. "Do you want to come with me?" He asked.

"You would make me go even if I said no." Kagome said.

"True." Inuyasha smiled. He started his car and they headed towards the daycare center.

When they got to the daycare center they both got out and went inside. "Kagome!" All the kids shouted.

Kagome greeted them and said hello to Ayumi. They waited for Shippo to gather his stuff and they left. All the kids said goodbye and then went back to their activities.

"I didn't know you were coming Kagome." Shippo said.

"Neither did I." Kagome said.

"Can we go to the movies? All of us?" Shippo asked excitedly.

"I should be getting home." Kagome said.

"Let the runt have his fun." Inuyasha said, not wanting her to leave. Kagome nodded.

The three of them left the movies after it was finished. "That movie was cool." Shippo said.

Kagome smiled. She was glad to see he was happy. She hated to see the depressed look on his face from time to time. Kids should be having fun.

"Where are we going?" Kagome asked. She didn't recognize the area they were currently driving in.

"To Myoga's, He watches Shippo every once in a while." Inuyasha said.

"Can't I come with you?" Shippo asked.

"Not this time. You're not old enough." Inuyasha said.

"We can do something together later if you want Shippo." Kagome said.

"Yay!" Shippo yelled. Inuyasha stopped the car in front of some apartment buildings. He honked the horn and stepped out of the car with Shippo.

"You can come in if you want." Inuyasha said. Kagome nodded and got out of the car. They walked in and Inuyasha pounded on the door. "Oi, Myoga-jiji." He shouted.

"I'm coming Inuyasha." Myoga opened the door. "Hello Shippo."

"Hi Myoga." Shippo said. He walked in and turned on the TV.

"Who's this?" Myoga asked looking at Kagome.

"I'm Higurashi Kagome." Kagome said bowing.

"She's my girlfriend." Inuyasha said. Kagome blushed but didn't deny they were a couple.

"Oh it seems you've got good taste. It's hard to believe you finally found a woman." Myoga laughed.

"Laugh it up old man." Inuyasha said.

"Hopefully you can tame Inuyasha and his stubbornness." Myoga said to Kagome.

"I'm working on it." Kagome said.

"Lets go." Inuyasha said grabbing Kagome's hand.

"It was nice to meet you." Kagome said bowing again.

"Nice to meet you to." Myoga said.

"I'll be back later." Inuyasha yelled.

"Hai." Myoga said.

Inuyasha and Kagome got in the car. "So you don't mind?" Inuyasha asked.

"Mind what?"

"That I said you're my girlfriend?"

"Well it's not like you gave me much room to argue."

"You could've said something."

"You would've just kept saying it anyway."

"Yeah, well I'm stubborn." Inuyasha said.

"I know that." Kagome mumbled.

"How about we drop this stuff off at your apartment, grab something to eat, then go to the club?" Inuyasha said.

"Sounds good." Kagome said.
