But anyway, I can understand what it's like to still be learning and see a whole lot of people who are much better since they have been practicing for years (some artists are, in fact, professionals and do it for a living). It's easy to get jealous when you're still learning. Me, I had three years of art classes in high-school (which I ultimately did not appreciate all that much, nor feel like I learned anything). I started drawing on my own in 1999 (wow, seven years ago!) and while I could finally put some skills to use, it is leagues apart from where I am now.

Don't be ashamed of where you're at. Just study, practice, and you will get better with time. You won't be able to notice the difference on a drawing-by-drawing basis, but as long as you stay in practice and keep learning, getting better will happen automatically.
