That, yep.

I grew to not care, really. I used to care about popularity. I was the pit of all petty insults and bullies and of course I'd beat those kids up. Until one day I pretty much said, "frack it! frack them all!" After that I hated school less, I grew happier, and I obtain friends.

Do I fight still? Yes. But It's me sticking up for my friends, rather than myself. I don't let anything happen to them.

Ah, but you may. Typically, the ones that receive the most comments. Are the fanfictions from great writers and deep story of love, but is not too long. But when it's a deep story, that is long, and does not revolve a fandom, most tend to overlook it.
Now if it's a story of vampires people go, "Hey, lookie here!"

Honestly, if you want people to see you got to grab them, slap them, and turn their heads to the story and say, "READ! NOW! DON'T SCREW AROUND!"
