Chapter 1 - Crying in the dark

Crying could be heard out in the distance. A small child lay by a tree as the rain began to fall. Momma! She cried out as the wind blew through the tree leaves. P-papa! The child hiccupped as she cried. The girls brown hair blew in the wind as her eyes filled up with tears. Being a child of two she didnt know what was going to happen to her. And she didnt know what happened to her parents. One minute they were together along with her sister in the village hidden in the clouds. And another minute they were running for their lives and she tripped and fell. And now she was all alone, in the middle of nowhere. The only thing she had on her was her clothes, a blue blanket and a necklace that had her name on it. The wind picked up. HELP ME! she yelled.

Somewhere out in the distance a young woman and a small boy walk quickly down a dark path as the rain fell. The woman had dark brown hair, almost black and black eyes. While the young boy, who didnt look a year over four, had brown hair up in a high spiky ponytail. Aunty Saki, are you sure you heard crying over here The boy asked, trying to keep up with his aunt. She nodded and walked faster, I can feel someone...a little girl... She picked up the pace and started to run with the young boy not far behind. As they ran past a couple of big trees Saki stopped. The small boy, not knowing, crashed into her back.

Saki walked to one of the bigger trees and went around it. She looked down and there was a young girl, coughing and crying. The girl looked up as tears ran down her face, Do you know where my mommy is...? Saki shook her head and picked the girl up. Im going to take you somewhere warm, alright? The girl nodded and placed her head into Sakis shoulder. She looked down to see a young boy looking back up at her. Who are you? The girl asked, Im Shikamaru Nara...What about you? The girl lifted up her head.
