Dragon of Elements - Ice

Description

The second of my elemental dragons, here is the element of ice, now in his fourth (and possibly final) incarnation. When I started on this dragon, I wasn't quite sure if I could match the quality of detail I used for the fire element before him -- but in retrospect, I needn't have worried.

As the backstory behind my elemental dragons go, this is the incarnation of a ruling ice spirit, his body fashioned from that of a fallen white dragon, infused and reborn with the power of elemental ice. Ice itself being a form of water, he also weilds limited power over the water element.

Next element: Water (v4.0)

Medium: Colored pencil, and some eraser highlights. (for anyone curious, only three colors were used)

Wow! That's a really good Drawing of a Ice Dragon! I like the Blue Coloring you done to draw this Dragon. Job Well Done!!

Wow! That's impressive! I like the way you did features such as claws and spines with the crystals! Only three colors? Pretty cool! The two back feet look a little generic,but other than that, you did a good job! This deserves a fave!

Only three colors? That's impressive. Even more impressive is the texture
(most notably the scales). Very good, keep it up.

I can't just stare at this and not comment, this is beautiful, I really like how you did the crystail shards as from the head to tail, the wings too are very beatiful and so well done, the shading and lightness is perfect, you did a splendid job! *adds to favs*

The colouring is very good and I like the eyes.It finishes off the whole 'icy' look.Like everyone said,the dragon looks heavy and unable to fly.But then again,it might.I don't know.I like the shining effect of the scales and the wings.

I really can't tell wether it would fly or not but you let me know what it's reason for wings really is. It doesn't look like he can fly very far or high.

For an ice dragon I would of had a little bit of fur on it but the colors are perfect and the shading is great. It really seems to me as an ice dragon, and that the color of the dragon can tell me that it lives in a cold area. that is why I would have put fur on it. whay do you think?
