John Lennon

Hi Folks! Since this week was the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's death, I thought I would post a drawing I did of him a few years ago. John was and still is very special to me and I still remember the day he died like it was yesterday. Many of the young people here probably weren't even born yet but believe me it was as big as the day John Kennedy was killed. It was a horrible day and I still cry every time I think about it. The reference for this drawing was a screen cap from the movie A Hard Day's Night. It was completed with Derwent soft graphite pencils ranging from 2b to 8b on heavy weight medium textured Strathmore paper. Once again my scanner tends to read the texture of the paper more than the subtle shading so it looks a little rough but I think you get an idea of the drawing. Please feel free to ask any questions.
