Truth 1-7-04

If life were as simple as it seems…
Then wouldn’t people help each other? You know, be a team?
People are so ignorant to what goes on around.
People shut out things they don’t like, so they don’t hear a sound

I’ve seen the world and how it really looks
People lie, just like all those records and books
But I seem to be the only one who can see
You just go about your lives, continuing to ignore me

Once you’ve seen the truth, that’s all you see
Open your eyes! You can’t go back, you’re stuck with me!
Stop taking everything for granite
If it all goes away, you’ll be lost without it

You seem so happy now, so carefree…
But what if war broke out?! Then where would you be?
Once you realize the truth, your darkest dreams are found.
Once you realize the truth, you are scared, frightened, bound.

If you realize the truth, your sanity is the cost.
If you realize the truth, your happy life is lost.
