Chapter 1 - The Red Snow
The Red Snow
Once there were sisters two
Oh, oh the red snow
Who lived in the woods among the birch and yew
Oh, oh the red, red snow
One day in the cold winter season
Oh, oh the red snow
A strange man started to go to their home for some unknown reason
Oh, oh the red, red snow
Only the younger of the two was home
Oh, oh the red snow
Nobody knew that she was alone
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The man came and knocked apon the door
Oh, oh the red snow
He only wanted her love no more
Oh, oh the red, red snow
He said to keep their meeting a secret
Oh, oh the red snow
She cut a lock of her hair and told him to keep it
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The next day the older of the two was home
Oh, oh the red snow
Nobody knew that she was alone
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The man came again and knocked apon the door
Oh, oh the red snow
He only wanted her love no more
Oh, oh the red, red snow
He said to keep their meeting a secret
Oh, oh the red snow
So, she took off her locket and told him to keep it
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The younger sister saw them say their goodbyes
Oh, oh the red snow
This scene broke her heart and tears filled her eyes
Oh, oh the red, red snow
Jealousy over took her. She wanted him all for herself
Oh, oh the red snow
So that night she pulled a knife off the shelf
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The older sister woke with a start
Oh, oh the red snow
To see a dagger being raised over her heart
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The older sister dodged the first blow
Oh, oh the red snow
She ran outside wondering where to go
Oh, oh the red, red snow
But it was to late, with no time to depart
Oh, oh the red snow
And the younger sister stabbed her through her heart
Oh, oh the red, red snow
The man came again the next day
Oh, oh the red snow
When he saw the blood his face turned gray
Oh, oh the red snow
So, out of fear he ran away
Oh, oh the red, red snow
With shock and surprise, with what she had done, tears filled her eyes
Oh, oh the red snow
How could she have believed jealousy’s horrible lies
Oh, oh the red snow
How could she have killed her sister’s innocent life
Oh, oh the red, red snow
So, she picked up the dagger and looked it over twice
Oh, oh the red snow
And thought about going to see her sister in paradise
Oh, oh the red, red snow
So, she took the dagger
Oh, oh the red snow
And stabbed herself and started to stagger
Oh, oh the red, red snow
And then she fell by her sister and laid
Oh, oh the red snow
As the ice cold snow fell on her face
Oh, oh the red blood stained snow
Once there were sisters two
Oh, oh the red snow
Who lived in the woods among the birch and yew
Oh, oh the red, red snow
One day in the cold winter season
