Chapter 1 - Untitled

Yet all the same I fell

Chapter 1 - Untitled

Chapter 1 - Untitled

In every silent whisper

In every darkness falls

A shadow cast from this love

A breath upon these walls

The wind that whips around here

Is breaking down this cage

I built so sturdy round this heart

They say it can't be saved

I dream of your caresses

Eyes mirrored within my own

Looking rapt upon desire

A safely silent moan

I will not let you hear

The secrets in my soul

The need that is a weakness

For I am much too cold

And like the wind that blows here

Destruction in its wake

So be the love if `twas released

Yet my heart you'd forsake

I cannot say `I love you'

No matter how I want

For wanting is not welcome here

With your heart as the taunt

You would not offer freely

All that this mind requires

And I won't think with this heart

Or gift you those desires

Just know that once I loved you

Yet did not know the spell

To come undone enough to try

Yet all the same I fell

Dr_PostalRight, that does it. Stop writing these poems, they're too damn good. If you keep writing this poems, the undead corpses of Keats and Wordsworth will rise from the grave and kick you repteadly in the shins because of their vast undead jealousy over how much better you are then them. Stupid zombie avant garde. But seriously, this poem really cries out about need and suffering to avoid breaking everything. It's also a perfect accompaniment to the romance in my Balance trilogy.
