Chapter 1 - Frozen Beauty
Chapter 1 - Frozen Beauty
She watched over the crashing water,
The dark moving with the blue.
In her hand she held a rose,
Whose petals reddened, so innocent,
So true.
With her eyes she carried a secret,
One that must be kept within.
Her chained sorrows had drifted with the waves,
The frozen beauty had let them win.
Crashing, crashing, and then again,
The foam surfed upon the sea.
She thought of why, as her tears joined the ocean,
Why had she been so nave?
Swans fluttered about beneath her,
The white of purity floating.
Dropping the rose, she spread her wings,
She found herself soaring, soaring.
Her cold lips warmed themselves,
She left the world, her cage behind.
Forgotten words, forgotten woes,
Her past was no longer her wine.
