Chapter 1 - Where I'm From
Chapter 1 - Where I'm From
I am from the snow,
Those cold February nights.
I'm from the hugs and love,
That would make me feel alright.
I am from the water,
In my pool those hot summer days.
I'm from those cool fall breezes,
I wished would stay.
I am from the daycare,
And all those kids that I met.
I'm from all the memories of youth,
I shall never forget.
I am from beanie babies,
The collection that didn't stop.
I'm from bunk beds,
In which I was on top.
I am from every moment,
Me and my siblings shared.
I'm from the times,
When I didn't have to be scared.
I am from the yelling,
Of my nana when we misbehaved.
I'm from every fort,
We rebuilt after it caved.
I am from the simple street,
That had no busy noise.
I'm from the fun,
I had with all my toys.
I am from my parents,
I am what you now see.
Because I'm from them,
I'm me.
