Chapter 1 - Before I Sleep
Before I Sleep
Every night I think of things and cry myself to sleep.
Of all the kids who might be dead, or don't have food to eat.
Of the wars and all of the crimes, this I know won't work.
All the Christians and the Cathalics, and the punks and gerks.
Before I sleep I cry a cry for all the world to hear.
A cry for every single soul who expresses things in tears.
Before I sleep I break my heart once or twice a night.
And I'd think what if that were me, reaching for the light.
A light so bright can draw you near, but you must refuse the fly.
For everyone would miss you if you'd layed down and died.
