It should take you far

No matter what you do

When the sky is blue
Gray skies have fallen upon us
No use turning back
If you spare my life
I promise not to lack
The clouds are caving in now,
I feel I am surrounded
The birds have gone away now,
And I feel I am bounded

Will you ever return?
I feel that I have lost something,
But that was a something I didn't earn.
My heart has turned to ruins
And my life it is now destroyed
The world today is imperfect
And many are unemployed
