Chapter 1 - there r none

Ang, Soka, and Katara all in the back of Alpa letting him steer himself. Ang: I'm tired. Katara: Its not even night time yet, and we haven't been doing anything tiring. Ang: I know but I feel drowsy for some reason. Katara: there's a good place to land! Soka: No, it's not. Ang and Katara looked confused at what he was saying. Katara: Why not. Soka: There are fire nation troops on the far side of the island. Katara: I don't see anything. Soka: right there! Katara: in sure we'll be fine. Alpa came to a yield and barely landed in the water. Soka: if your not going to listen to me you will just have to where these. Ang: I'm not wearing that. Katara: neither am I. I mean your not going to wear it why should we? Soka began to put the red costume, and then put on a mask. It was nothing heavy, for this was all made out of silk. Katara: you can't possibly be wearing that. Augh! She realized he wasn't joking and put it on as well. She didn't know why though, I guess she thought this strange idea might actually foul the fire nation. Ang was shocked that Katara was actually putting that on, but he did what she did, only for the reason that he secretly admired her. They all got off of Alpa. Ang was feeding the animals, and Soka was unloading things and reloading them onto the ground. She knew Soka would throw a fit about her going in the woods that seemed to be on this island to explore and get food, so she quickly went in unseen. Katara was looking for anyone besides fire nation troops. She knew that there was either no one here to begin with, or that if there was, the fire nation already got to him or her. She now, for some reason was looking for prince Zuco and general Iro. She just wanted to know were they would be located just incase anything happened. Although she didn't know what would be so big to posses her to run towards the fire nation. Katara: Ah…Mmh! She ran into an earth bender who quickly covered her mouth when she screamed so the fire nation wouldn't hear her. He began to drag her to a tunnel still with his hands on her mouth. When he got her in the tunnel he told her not to scream that he was good. He had now uncovered her mouth. She just stared at him. He began to talk. You mustn't scream I'm trying to hide from the fire nation. But I can't seem to find away off the island. Katara: sorry. I thought you were a fire bender. I know a way off the island, we can get off by riding are flying vicen. That would be great. But we would have to do it in the morning. I have no problem with that. Katara: are you sure. Yah, I just have to find a place to stay over night. Katara: you could stay with us. Really? Katara: sure. But first I want to look around. So Katara went out deeper into the woods. She was walking when she heard someone say, what are you doing here peasant? Katara: Zuco. She said in a whisper. Zuco shot a flame at her, as she dodged it by an inch. He kept on throwing the flames and she did as she did the first time. Now the sun was shining even brighter than ever and it was strange because it had been night for a while. This was not good because the moon made her stronger, and the sun did that to all fire benders. She was already weak and the sun made her weaker, with no one around she didn't know how out get her self out of this situation. Before she could regain her focus Zuco hit her with a giant flame stronger than ever. She was thrown against a tree and knocked unconscious. Zuco was walking away from her going to tell his grandfather that the avatar was already on the island not knowing he was watching the whole thing. Iro: take the girl, the avatar will search for her and you can capture him. What was she thinking wearing that ridiculous costume? It's obvious we weren't going to fall for thinking she was a fire bender. Zuco grabbed Katara and tied her hands and feet together so she couldn't walk or bend. He loaded her onto his back and headed towards the ship. He put her in his room. Iro: why are you putting her in there? Zuco: it's the only door that will lock from the outside. Soka: Where's Katara? Ang: I seen her take off for the woods, but she should be back by now. Soka: What! You seen her go into the woods and you didn't stop her! Ang: I… but before he could speak Soka interrupted him. Soka: I can understand if you thought you were to weak to stop her now that she has learned more about water bending, but you could have told me and I could have stopped her. Ang: I, wait you think your muscles against her water bending were going to win? Soka: yes. Ang: yah right. Soka: let's stay on subject please. Ang: I didn't stop her because I knew she could handle her self. Soka: yah that's why she's in the woods somewhere. Ang: let's just go look for her. Katara tried not to snoop knowing she would get caught, but couldn't resist herself. She first threshed through his shelves as quickly as she could, hoping not to get caught. Her eyes met up with a scroll with diagrams of bender territory. On the side, lists of strategies. She heard someone coming and stuffed the scrolls down her long sleeves. Prince Zuco came in the middle of the doorway. He held a plate of food in his hands and handed it to Katara. Zuco: Here! As once as he was in the room entirely he shut the door and had someone lock it behind him. Katara: what are you doing? Zuco: this is my room and I'm doing to do what ever I please. Katara glanced at the door with no knowledge that someone locked it behind him. Zuco: You can't get out someone locked behind me. Oh, yah, before I forget, don't even try to water bend and catch me off guard while I'm in here, or that meal your eating might be your last. Another thing don't bother me I have no time for you. The avatar will come soon to try and rescue you and I want to be prepared to capture him. She tuned out everything he said after that and began to lay the food on the ground. She wasn't going to eat that, it was a, I guess I have to feed you so here you go, kind of meal. She turned the other way so that she was not facing him. She got out the scroll and began to study it when she realized he was coming towards her. She tried to stuff the scrolls in her sleeves but before she had a choice he snatched them from her. Zuco: what do you think your doing, sneaking in to my personal belongings? Katara: Well when someone like you lock me in their room I'm not going to be that friendly I'm going to do what I want to your room. She got up from where she was sitting and started to bend with the little water she had. Zuco got angrier. Zuco: the good thing about fire is you don't have to be near one to start one. Katara: The good thing is if you hit me and damage me as much as you possibly can when this is all done I can heal myself to look like nothing happened. Zuco: is that right? Then I guess you won't mind if I do this? He through a flame at her but he missed and ended up hitting the door. Katara: I always knew you weren't that smart. She headed out the door missing the fire benders grip. Zuco went after her trying to get a hold of her before her and the avatar left the island. She dove onto the ground when suddenly something was holding her back cutting off her air supply. Zuco had grabbed a hold of the collar of her shirt while the front of it was choking her. He tried to pull her up, but she tugged down as far as she could when she finally reached the ground. Soka and Ang were in front of her pushing her back as she got closer protecting her from the flame Zuco was trying to throw at her. Ang dodged it using his air bending. Soka kept his arm in front of Katara ready to push her back if Zuco were to aim something at her. Ang had given them the signal to run away as he joined them. Forgetting the man trying to leave the island as well took off on the flying vicen. Soka: are you ok? Katara: I'm fine. Ang: are you sure? Katara: I'm positive. Soka: good, in that case I'm hungry. Did you by any chance come back with the food you were looking for? Katara: How did you know I was looking for food? Soka: I didn't, but now I do. So did you bring it? Katara: No! Ang just looked at them fighting for ten minutes then when the argument was over he began to guide Alpa.
