Chapter 1 - Chasing

Chasing



It would not be a life astray

To chase you to the end

But rather one He would send

One spent chasing you away



I'd climb the mounts and cross the lands

Amongst the fiery sands I'll trek

If I might see again your rosy neck

And hold you in my hands



No matter where you run, I'll catch ya all the same

For to win your heart

The seas I'll part

To see once again.



You're a fool to chase the voices say

And though your words did sting

Now my wounds, they dance and they sing

For I see a slight delay.



We play a game, all fail to see

Our words a stinging lance

But with them all we truly dance

And dispel our misery



Could this be love, this little game?

To which the angles nod.

I poke at you, at me you prod,

And the chase is on again.



Do you love me, or do I sin

And do these words I waste

Either way, I'll give you chase

In hopes that I will win.
