Chapter 1 - Yami's POV Poem

Yami's POVP (point of view poem)
In the dark I waited
Until the day would come
When light would enter
Enriching my body with its soft glow.
I have been here for so long.
Waiting and hoping.
I have forgotten who I am
Who I was.
My mind screams in agony
Trying to hold onto the last bit of sanity that I have left.
It is lonely waiting here in the dark.
I am a bit ashamed to admit that I am actually frightened.
Not by the dark but from being alone.
Suddenly the dark is interrupted
By an irradiant light.
I am forced to shield my eyes against the light
As a figure slowly steps in.
"Hello."
A sweet, angelic voice called out.
"Who are you?"
I felt my heart skip a beat
As I was finally able to look up
At the face of the angelic voice.
"May name is Yami."
I reply no longer feeling the fear
Of being alone.
And realizing I was just given the chance
To a new beginning.
