Chapter 1 - Trying Not To Cry

Trying not to cry,

When you look me in the eye.

It feels me up with pain,

Aching from you stare.

What are you thinking when you see me out there?

Do you want to hold me close?

Do I make you rage with hate?

Do you even feel emotion?

Driven by that stake.

The way they see me is different,

From the way I feel right now.

Do they know that I am human?

Or do they really even care?

And if I was to die tomorrow,

Would a tear even fall?

Would someone even be there,

Holding on for the last time?

Making me wonder,

Can I really love?

And it makes me cry,

Because I've lost all my hope.

Making me hold on,

On the moutain made of guilt.

Tken by the emotion,

That no one's ever felt.

Depending on everyone,

Never trust again.

How can that really happen?

If no one's really there.

Could they stand up and rejoice,

For the war to be done?

If every soldier died,

In the Heartache's ever sun,

Would they even make a move,

For ones that have been forgotten

And really just found.

Really take it in,

For seeing is the light.

Driven by the weakness,

Left by the sight.
