Time against Love



I always knew.

It worked.

I think it was all good.

But I screwed up.

And made myself a wall I must

Breakthrough,

To get you back.

I think about you constantly.

Imagining where we'd be without that wall.

We'd be where I wish we were.

Instead of silently loving,

Waiting for someone to make,

A break at that wall.

But I,

Who made it,

Want to break it more than ever.

And while I want to do it

Cautiously,

Carefully removing each brick,

Taking it slow,

I feel a need to act quickly,

I sense time is running out.

I want to breakthrough right,

But before it's too late.
