Chapter 1 - Shadows
Chapter 1 - Shadows

You’ve been told not to try it,
You’ve been told to stay away,
But when someone you love tells you,
Why does it become different?
You’ve already tried it,
You couldn’t stay away,
And now he’s telling you,
“Please don’t do this.”
He doesn’t know completely,
But you sure he’s thinking.
You want to stop now,
But soon you’ll get more.
What can you do?
How do you stop?
You’re living behind shadows,
Trying to give it up.
You think all day,
“I’ll be fine.”
But all night you think,
“Just one more time.”
It’s chasing you around,
Never letting go.
You hide it within,
Waiting to show again.
