Chapter 1 - The World Cries

Why do they say these things I hear
I know they don’t mean them from the heart
And they have no reason to feel betrayed
I have not seen them apart since late last may

I feel lost and I call
My life is changing and I know I fall
At the feet of those I love

What is this sudden change
I feel I must catch up
And I must not fall behind
But I do not want to try
Not one day more

Could you tell me I am odd
So I can realize and rebound
I feel the hurt
It eats my heart inside
But it’s not you
And it’s not me

The world cries to you can’t you hear
From the skies it shouts the path
And from inside you feel the wrath

Can’t you see you are blind
Mistaken in your course
Listen to the voice inside
If you want to see your goal
Follow the road though it seems unwise
Help your fellow man

If you are to be helped
Then you must help
Help your own share

Do not follow the wrong voice
The one that speaks on only your behalf
You have no need of greed in this task

But you can chose the life you lead
The world cries to you
Please listen
And heed
