Chapter 1 - Sadness Within Raindrops

People say "To answer your questions ask the stars." ,
That's what I was doing, asking the questions of my heart,
I stared up even when it began to rain,
I could scarcely hide myself from the pain.

I then knew how I felt about my one true love,
And all I could do was ask "why" to the stars above,
I never expected that I would ever love again,
After everything that had happened and where I'd been.

As I stood there and gazed my green eyes into the sky,
He walked up behind me as he saw a tear form in my eye,
"What's wrong?" asked the boy, I gasped with a sense of shock in my voice,
I had been caught, with tears in my eyes I made one and only one choice.

I threw out my arms and held him as tight as I could,
I would never let him go, even if the world would,
And in that one moment, in that one move, that single act,
Soaking wet we locked onto each other's lips and knew there was no going back.

Sadness within raindrops...
