Chapter 1 - Untitled

The very day i met you i knew i'd make you mine,
as a friend you were in my heart,
you'd be there for all of time.
You cheered me up when i was down,
you held my hand and smiled,
i knew what i had been through had all been worthwile.
I opened up my heart to you,
told you my darkest fears,
you shared the same and held me tight,
you even shed a tear.
The day i said i love you,
was the day i gave up hope,
like a noose round the neck and a burn from the rope.
But now i've let you go,
it wasn't meant to be,
you didn't share my feelings,
i loved you but you didn't love me.
So you found someone else,
a soulmate to the end,
you push me aside and forget me,
you're supposed to be my friend.
As i sit and watch you with him,
not jealous but wondering why,
i helped get your man yet you left me out to die.
Now as i wake from my dream,
you're not in my sight,
don't wanna be lonely,
won't die in endless night.
