Chapter 1 - Overshadowed Shadows

I see the imprints
of the shadows
that were before.
They walked where
I now am.
But did they
breathe the same air?
Was it somehow
different from
the here and now?
Who did die
when I was born?
And who died
when they did not?
Life really is
such a wonder,
at least until
it runs out.
That I guarentee.
Sure I have Youth,
but what have they?
They of the past
did not want
to die but did.
One day the shadows
shall overshadow
us all whom are here.
They shall come
and reclaim
our stolen souls.
Such a happy thought
that one day,
I shall no longer
be so alone...
