Chapter 1 - Lullabies of the Hush
Sweet mellow songs,
you are now of the past,
gone forever and more.
Oh how I miss you.
Goodbye the beauty
that I thought
would leave me, never.
As I now breathe in
the hymn of tomorrow,
'tis not the same voice,
so sweet and tender.
Lullabies of the hush,
all I want is you, back.
The tender wisperings
that once brought
unto me such joys
are now replaced
by hollow murmerings,
that I recognize
as your once soft voice.
To me you once
had such a great name.
I clamored just for
your tender loving words.
Once you had been
my only best friend,
then you said goodbye.
Now that you've left,
I sought for love,
but instead recieved a void.
How I want to
say your name
once again, with pride.
you are now of the past,
gone forever and more.
Oh how I miss you.
Goodbye the beauty
that I thought
would leave me, never.
As I now breathe in
the hymn of tomorrow,
'tis not the same voice,
so sweet and tender.
Lullabies of the hush,
all I want is you, back.
The tender wisperings
that once brought
unto me such joys
are now replaced
by hollow murmerings,
that I recognize
as your once soft voice.
To me you once
had such a great name.
I clamored just for
your tender loving words.
Once you had been
my only best friend,
then you said goodbye.
Now that you've left,
I sought for love,
but instead recieved a void.
How I want to
say your name
once again, with pride.

I wish could say I know how you feel. Great poem as always.
