Chapter 1 - Never Lets Go
He has you by the finger,
better yet the hand.
Watching you with
His glistening eyes,
angels full of laughter.
He is the one
who never lets go.
Somtimes He cries
when you try to
pull away home free.
Sadness is inevitable
to all involved.
The worst of all is
when you disown Him,
discard Him like a cat.
You beg Him to be
dead to you, because
you only want to
break free on your own.
But the more you
do try and pull
His iron soft grop,
the more it hurts
both you and Him.
Even if you hurt Him,
He will never stop.
He has you by the finger,
better yet the hand.
He is the One
who never lets go.
