If Only
I'm sorry for the things I do
I'm sorry for the things I say
I'm sorry for how I've treated you
I'm sorry that I act this way
I miss the way things used to be
I miss the talks we used to have
I miss the games we played
I miss it more each day
I wish I could fix everything
I wish I could stop your tears
I wish I could be rid of my fears
I wish I wasn't so much like me
I can't help the way I am
I can't help being sorry
I can't help being mean
I can't help you change.
Maybe one day things will change
Maybe one day wishes will come true
Maybe one day sorries will disappear
Maybe one day I'll be a better friend to you.
