Chapter 1 - "A Broken Heart"
Chapter 1 - "A Broken Heart"
You taste the spite,
Upon his lips,
And you wonder why,
You ever kissed.
Why did he lie,
When you could tell,
That it wasn't real,
That that's not how he felt.
...
You never really wanted me,
You just wanted to see the pain,
You wanted to see me fall,
Like the ever-present rain,
You only wanted to see,
My tears fall again.
I wish I could find the truth,
But it's always hidden from me,
Always out of sight,
And I can never find the key.
I'm lost without a purpose,
I can't find a way out,
Of this horrible maze,
My heart is filled with doubt.
I should just fall here and now,
And never have to look back,
Nothing pulls me up,
So much I had I now lack.
I'm losing sight of the future,
The hopeful important end,
I no longer see it,
But my heart still needs a mend.
Help me this time,
Don't leave me behind,
Lend a hand to me,
Fix my broken heart.

Sad but true... Too many people are left with nothing but a broken heart after a hope at more than life. Yet after those falls how many people actually want to lend a hand and help you out. Great poem.weewoo on January 9, 2005, 11:00:06 AM
