Days go by so quickly,

Life has become a blur.

How did this happen?

You should be with her.

I only wish to be friends,

She wants something more.

You asked me that night,

Not realizing it was her heart you tore.

She wants you more than I.

She cried when she learned,

Right there at the cafeteria table,

For it was your heart she yearned.

She is a sweet girl,

From what I've seen.

I am so sorry,

I came in between.

A great man once said,

“Love is blind”

It this is so true,

It can sneak up from behind.

This time has been great,

I will remember it well.

Of whom do I speak?

Find her and you should be able to tell.

She deserves you more than I,

I only wish to be friends.

Unlike false love to come and go,

True friendship never ends.
